Monitoring Well Installations
Monitoring Well Installations
For the most efficient monitoring wells and development, Geiss Soil & Samples is your most logical choice. A 2-inch casement well that is installed to do continuous samples over time tests the groundwater. There are two rigs used for this combined with the 6620DT track machine. This is one example of the latest technology utilized by us that can work for you.
Discover Our Proven Track Record
We offer two rigs – a truck mounted 7800 and a 6620DT Track Mounted Rig with the capabilities to install 2” Monitoring Wells according to WDNR Well Requirements NR141. Maximum depths will vary with soil conditions but we have materials to do up to 50ft of 4.25" Hollow Stem Augers.
Well Abandonment
All well abandonment are complete to NR 141.25. We currently use a 420CT Skidsteer to abandon wells. We also will use our other rigs depending on site access and depths.
Our Equipment
7800 Truck-Mounted Rig
This rig is equipped with a GH62 Hammer.
6620DT TRACK RIG
This track machine is highly productive in both shallow and deep sampling venues. The stronger, wider undercarriage allows this machine to be used on concrete or pavement and enables the machine to readily negotiate in tight, confining work areas and on the off-road rugged terrain. The 66DT is also capable of direct push soil probing, as well as hollow stem auger (HSA drilling).
5410 Truck-Mounted Rig
This rig is equipped with a GH42 Hammer. The 5410 features a 54-in. stroke and 25,000 lb. of pulling capacity for subsurface work. Lateral movement of the unit provides for offset placement of the probe without moving the carrier vehicle. A heavy-duty steel frame and dual extend tubes add stability to probing operations. With an optional enclosure, the 5410 and carrier vehicle can be stocked with field supplies and be ready to head to the field.
420 Track Case Skidsteer
This piece of equipment is used for well abandonments or on sites that we may need to move 55-gallon drums etc.
